So it’s been a while since I last posted a photo of one of my paintings I was a little distracted by moving and you know life in general. But in that time I have completed 3/5 of my Comissions for a client and I am slowly catching up with my waiting list I thought I would share one of them in the meantime. This is a painting of a little pup called Winston. I am especially proud of this piece and I have included a quote from Winston Churchill which motivated me to pull through these last few difficult weeks I am a bit behind my delivery date on these comissions but I think that I am out of my rut and on the way up

Watercolors Tips 1. Work From Light To Dark Have patience - there's no rush. Stat with the light colors first because once you lay down the dark colors, it's hard to undo. 2. Water To Paint Ratio The water to paint ratio will change depending on what you're trying to achieve. Too much water can result in colors that are too light and the mix becomes muddy. Too little water can result in thick colors that don't flow or lay down properly. 3. Maintain the Dry-Time Dry-time varies depending on what you're trying to achieve in your painting. If you want to add new color layers over the top of a base you've laid down, be patient and make sure the layer underneath is dry first, or the colors will run into one another and you won't have defined edges and shapes. 4.Plan Your Mixing of Paints There is a lot of planning and preparing in watercolor painting. A good rule of thumb is to always mix more paint than you think you'll need on your palette.

I felt a beautiful draw to each color around me. The hues and bright shades. Opened a part of me only I could understand. I am dancing in the beauty called color. Mixing each new idea with the textures of my brush. Because without these intoxicating intrigues. I wouldn’t be the artist I am now.

Shark/ocean painting. Sharks are the most beautiful misunderstood creatures on this planet. Unfortunately they're going undangered due too greedy fishermen wanting their fins for money. Sharks on average might kill up too 6 people per year and us people kill over 600,000 sharks or more per year. These beautiful creatures have survived five mass extinctions, and now we're killing them one by one for money and killing our Oceanic Ecosystem. Which is so important for our land ecosystem, without the one the other will have severe consequences and that is how our world will start ending. We can stop it if we stop killing sharks for their fins and by starting too repair the reefs.

The intent behind it wasn't enough. Not for me. Not anymore. It wasn't enough to know that deep down, he loved me. You had to actually say it to somebody, show them you cared.” ~Jenny Han📱It's Not Summer Without You @artthoupsychedelic 🌐•Art Painting by Dan Huston, Extra
